Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Manager Heritage & Native Title is to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of strategies, and processes relating to Aboriginal heritage, native title, and cultural heritage management. This role is critical in ensuring that the company's operations are socially responsible and culturally sensitive in relation to Aboriginal engagement and interests, with a focus on fostering positive relationships with all key stakeholders ensuring compliance with heritage & native title laws.

Job Statement

A rewarding opportunity exists for a Manager Heritage & Native Title to join Genesis Minerals Limited. This a full-time permanent opportunity, primarily based in our Perth corporate Office, with site visits as required.

Reporting to the Head of Land & External Relations, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing heritage and native title strategies that are culturally respectful and legally compliant. You will drive initiatives that are aligned with the Company's values and focused on building long-lasting, respectful relationships with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal Communities across the Goldfields region The role requires a high level of leadership and strategic expertise to engage with native title groups, government authorities, and other key stakeholders to ensure positive, transparent, and mutually beneficial relationships.

The opportunity:

* Lead the development and implementation of heritage and Native Title strategies across all project phases, ensuring alignment with legislation and Company values.
* Establish and manage relationships with Traditional Owner Groups, Knowledge Holders, Prescribed Body Corporates, and other Aboriginal Stakeholders.
* Oversee the preparation and submission of heritage surveys and manage outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant State and Federal legislation.
* Manage the implementation and administration of native title mining and heritage agreements, including management of all related obligations, committees and activities.
* Develop heritage and native title governance policies and procedures and ensure they are aligned with relevant legislation and guidelines.
* Identify, assess, and manage the Company's Heritage & Native Title Risk Matrix, including potential impacts on operations and reputation.
* Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks, ensuring that they are effectively monitored and controlled.
* Engage with legal counsel and government regulators on heritage and Native Title matters as required.
* Lead, mentor, and manage the Senior Heritage Advisor, fostering a collaborative team environment.

About You

* A relevant tertiary qualification in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field is highly desirable
* Strong demonstrated experience in heritage and native title management within the mining, resources, or infrastructure sectors.
* Demonstrated experience working respectfully with Traditional Owner groups and Aboriginal communities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of State and Federal heritage legislation and Native Title frameworks, and proven ability to interpret legal agreements.
* High level of integrity, with a strong commitment to ethical practices, risk management, and governance.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
