TRIO is experiencing accelerated growth within its independent retail partners and is investing heavily in category ownership to further scale its plumbing division. With established brands, an engaged customer base, and a strong internal support structure across sales, state teams and marketing, TRIO is now seeking a hands-on, commercially driven National Plumbing Sales Manager to lead plumbing nationally and drive measurable in-store results.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact, customer-facing national role, not a desk-based category position.
You will take full ownership of TRIO's plumbing portfolio, including Mildon and Interbath, working directly with independent retailers (with a strong focus on TTHG) to accelerate sales through improved ranging, stronger shelf presence, smarter in-store execution and targeted commercial activity.
Approximately 80% of the role is sales and store execution, with the remaining 20% focused on practical category enablement, supporting growth through range optimisation, market insights, pricing feedback, warranty escalation support and clearly defined new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
National Plumbing Ownership
* Take full ownership of plumbing performance across TRIO's independent retail partners.
* Build trusted relationships with store owners, managers and key decision-makers.
* Convert access and engagement into measurable, sustainable sales growth.
Drive In-Store Performance
* Work with retailers to improve how plumbing is ranged, positioned and replenished.
* Conduct shelf and range reviews, identify gaps and sales leakage, and implement clear action plans.
* Support sell-out performance through practical execution including promotions, displays, trade activity and local activation.
Coordinate Commercial Activity
* Partner with marketing to brief, coordinate and deploy campaigns that execute effectively in-store.
* Support trade nights, promotional programs, product launches and targeted clearance initiatives.
* Leverage TRIO's support structure, State Managers, National Sales leadership and marketing, to scale what works.
Commercial & Independent Operation
* Manage your own quoting, follow-up and conversion pipeline end-to-end.
* Maintain strong internal rhythm through disciplined CRM usage, clear communication and consistent follow-through.
* Operate with a strong bias toward action and results.
Category Insight & Support
* Provide market intelligence including competitor activity, pricing pressure, customer feedback and new product opportunities.
* Support warranty and quality issue resolution by coordinating internally and protecting customer relationships.
* Engage with head office contacts and national plumbing stakeholders where required.

* Slow-moving and clearance stock is actively managed through smart, planned activity.

About You
You will be well suited to this role if you bring:
* Proven sales experience within plumbing, trade, hardware or construction supply channels.
* Strong capability working with independent retailers and translating strategy into store-level execution.
* Commercial acumen with a clear understanding of pricing, margin, promotions and win-win retail partnerships.
* A proactive, self-directed approach, you create the plan and drive it.
* Confidence in managing fundamentals exceptionally well: pipeline, quoting, follow-up, store engagement and closing.
