A highly regarded Australian law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Employment Lawyer to join its growing Employment & Workplace Relations team. The Role
As a Senior Associate, you will take a leading role in the team and be involved in:
* Advising employers on employment law and workplace relations issues
* Handling employment related disputes, including unfair dismissal, general protections, and discrimination claims
* Advising on enterprise agreements, awards, and industrial relations strategy
* Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, policies, and restraints
* Managing matters autonomously with appropriate partner support
* Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers
* Contributing to client development and team growth
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Admission as an Australian legal practitioner
* Approximately 5–8 years' PQE in employment law
* Strong experience advising employers across contentious and non contentious matters
* Industrial relations experience highly regarded but not essential
* Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* The confidence to run matters and engage directly with clients
* A collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring junior lawyers
Location & Flexibility
This role is open to candidates based in Sydney or Melbourne, with flexible working arrangements available. The firm is open to candidates currently in top tier, mid tier, or high quality boutique practices.
