We are currently seeking a Creche Team Leader to join the team at Hawkesbury YMCA. The successful candidate will be required to work between 9AM and 3PM.
About the role
Reporting to the Customer Service Coordinator, the Creche Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day running of the crèche, assisting in planning, programming, and implementing a caring and safe environment for children, and ensuring the needs of parents are met.
What you will bring:
* Recognised qualification in Childcare (degree, diploma, or certificate).
* Ability to interact positively, sensitively, and respectfully with children.
* Recognition of children’s needs and ability to nurture and support children new to the service.
* Ability to cope in emergencies or stressful situations.
* Ability to manage and supervise staff, including rostering and task allocation.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, staff, and management.
* CPR Certificate.
* First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012).
Recreation
Our Recreation Team is a close-knit community of energetic individuals passionate about staying active and helping others. From Duty Managers and Customer Service Officers to Instructors and Coordinators, the team transforms our 18 Recreation Centres into warm, inclusive, and safe spaces—providing access to health, fitness, and recreation opportunities, especially for vulnerable and underprivileged young people. We offer flexible hours, free facility membership, and support for developing leadership and life skills, all while making a positive community impact.
