About your opportunity:
As the Legal Support Supervisor (Bail), you'll have the chance to make a real difference by ensuring the smooth preparation and management of bail matters, while also guiding and collaborating with a dedicated team of legal professionals.
Here's what makes the opportunity extraordinary.
* Preparing and managing bail files for all Supreme Court bail hearings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Maintaining a detailed diary of bail hearings to support efficient scheduling and case management.
* Supporting and instructing Legal Officers and Crown Prosecutors appearing on bail hearings.
* Processing requests for variations to existing bail orders under supervision.
* Creating and managing bail files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up to date.
* Preparing monthly statistical reports to track and analyse bail-related activities.
* Providing copies of prosecution materials to defence counsel in a timely and professional manner.
* Recording results from finalised bail hearings and ensuring accurate file closure.
