We are a specialist recruitment partner working exclusively with a well-established FMCG manufacturing site on the Central Coast. Due to a strong focus on reliability, safety, and capability uplift, we are seeking an
Electrical Reliability Supervisor
to lead a small and developing maintenance team.
This role suits a hands-on electrical leader who enjoys mentoring others, setting standards, and being actively involved in day-to-day plant reliability.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Leader, you will lead a small electrical-focused reliability team while remaining highly hands-on on the factory floor. A key part of this role is coaching and developing a relatively green team, embedding safe work practices, and lifting maintenance capability across the site.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the first point of contact for electrical breakdowns and maintenance escalation
Leading electrical fault-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance across plant, utilities, and site services
Coaching and developing junior and less experienced tradespeople
Setting clear maintenance standards, processes, and expectations
Planning and prioritising maintenance activities with the Maintenance Planner
Driving improvements in equipment reliability, OEE, and downtime reduction
Conducting RCAs and leading reliability improvement initiatives
Supervising electrical contractors and managing permits and compliance
Supporting small capital works and continuous improvement projects
Ensuring strong compliance with HSE, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
This role is a key member of the site leadership team and has direct influence over reliability performance, team capability, and site culture.
About You:
You are an electrically qualified maintenance leader who enjoys developing people just as much as solving technical problems.
You will bring:
Experience in a maintenance supervisor, reliability supervisor, or senior technician role
Strong electrical fault-finding capability in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and uplift junior or developing team members
Hands-on leadership style with strong shop-floor presence
Solid understanding of preventative maintenance and reliability principles
Strong safety mindset and experience working within HSE systems
Experience working with CMMS systems and maintenance planning
Calm, practical, and solutions-focused approach
Dual trade (electrical/mechanical) experience is advantageous but not essential.
Why Consider This Opportunity:
Lead and shape a small, developing maintenance team
Hands-on electrical leadership role with real influence
