Improve Facility Cleanliness Standards
The Janitor/Porter plays a pivotal role in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This position supports daily operations by ensuring that production areas, common spaces, and equipment surfaces are free of debris, spills, and hazards.
* Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness standards.
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub surfaces to create a clean and organized work environment.
* Handle industrial waste, recyclables, and hazardous materials according to established safety protocols.
* Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers.
* Refill supplies including paper products, soap, and sanitizers.
* Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
* Support facility shutdown cleanings, deep cleans, and special projects as assigned.
* Comply with all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and PPE requirements.
