About the role
Step into a senior clinical position where your expertise in breast imaging makes a real difference. You'll play a vital role in providing advanced mammographic services and leading excellence across BreastScreen Queensland's Brisbane Southside Service.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality screening and assessment mammography without supervision
Conduct advanced procedures including stereotactic biopsies, VABB or breast ultrasound
Provide training, mentoring and clinical supervision to junior staff
Maintain and monitor equipment and perform quality assurance checks
Engage across multiple satellite sites within Metro South Health
Work a roster encompassing Monday to Saturday - 6AM to 6PM
About you
You're an advanced radiographer who thrives in a high-performance, client-focused environment. With extensive clinical experience and technical expertise, you're also a team player who values leadership, training, and continuous improvement.
We're looking for someone who has:
Strong clinical skills in mammography, plus Advanced Tomo/stereotactic core biopsy or Breast ultrasound expertise (with ASAR accreditation)
A Certificate of Mammographic Practice (CMP) or ability to obtain within 12 months
Current registration with AHPRA & radiation safety licence
A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (highly regarded)
Flexibility to travel across multiple Metro South Health facilities

About the BreastScreen Queensland Brisbane Southside Service
BreastScreen Queensland Brisbane Southside Service provides a breast cancer screening and assessment service for eligible women aged 40 and over. The catchment area covers 1,477 sq km and follows client referral patterns.
The Service aims to make women feel more comfortable and confident about having regular breast cancer screening by offering a high-quality service that is specifically designed to look after women's needs. It employs state-of-the-art equipment and provides a high level of training for staff. Staff operation as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a client-centric model and philosophy of excellence in health service delivery.
The Screening and Assessment Service is located at QEII Jubilee Hospital with satellite services located at Mt Gravatt, Coorparoo, Inala, Browns Plains, Logan Central, Redlands and Wynnum. These services provide facilities to screen in excess of 46,000 women per year.
