**What you'll be responsible for**:
- Assist in the safe operation of two high pressure steam boilers processing 460,000 tonnes of municipal waste
- Direct deliveries on site, manage safe and efficient traffic flow in the tipping hall and ash plant
- Monitoring the tipping of waste to detect non-acceptable waste, which is excluded from treatment
- Operation of plant equipment; front end loader, excavator, forklift, as required
- Carry out off-loading and out-loading procedures for residues and consumables
- Act as a general all-rounder, assisting with various tasks and functions when required
**What you'll need to be successful**:
- A strong focus on safety is essential
- Able to work as part of a small team ensuring safe, compliant reception and storage of non-recyclable municipal household waste
- Flexible and willing to learn
