Sample & analyse a wide variety of water, wastewater, and environmental samples across multiple sites
**Your new company**
Our client is one of the largest water distributors/retailers in Australia based in south-west Brisbane. As the workload increases, the client is looking for a Technical Officer that can provide routine and ad-hoc environmental monitoring and scientific inputs during environmental incidents.
**Your new role**
You will be part of a dynamic team, sampling and analysing a wide variety of water, wastewater and environmental samples for customers across multiple sites. You will be performing field duties with field and laboratory instruments in accordance to documented methods and NATA requirements. In addition, you will provide timely sampling and analytical results, whilst also entering data/sample registrations on the system, and pre-logging jobs. Lastly, you will have the opportunity to interact with customers and the public performing safe handling and customer safety practices.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will also ideally have the following:
- Tertiary qualification in science or equivalent experience
- Experience in aquatic ecology, more particularly ecological surveys including fish and macroinvertebrate monitoring
- Boat Licence
