Job Description
This is a remote position.
* Daily - Accounts mailbox supervision and recording the AP invoices into Xero (half-automated, approx 5 invoices / day)
* Daily - Xero accounts supervision and daily bank & credit card reconciliations (approx 10 transactions / day)
* Weekly - Aged Receivables reporting and emailing clients with overdue invoices (approx 10 emails / week)
* Weekly - Preparation of payment lists and ABA files (on Xero) and/or Providing Bpay information / manual payment information to management (Approx 10-15 payments / week)
* Monthly - Preparation of monthly payroll for full time and casual employees on Xero. Ensuring the payroll is paid on time and on-charged from the payroil entity to the 3 business entities
* Monthly - Preparation of monthly journals (approx 10 journals / month) and on-charge invoices between entities (approx 12 invoices / month)
* Monthly - Work with the Financial Controller on preparation of management reporting, board reporting
* Ad hoc - Onboarding and offboarding employees on Employment Hero (approx 1 employee / month)
* Ad hoc - Updating clients' entity details in Xero and reissuing those invoices to clients (approx 3 updates / week)
* Ad hoc - Coming up with new process ideas and improvement suggestions. Not taking the status quo as given and questioning/ enhancing the bottleneck process steps
Requirements
* Degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
* Must have at least 5 years of experience in Australian Accounting
* Experience in XERO accounting software, or similar
* Experience in payroll processing for New South Wales and Victoria, Australia is REQUIRED
* Professional command in the English language, both written and verbal
* Must have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent attention to detail
* Exceptional analytical skills to be able to interpret financial data and provide insights to clients or employers
