Primary Objective
Under the supervision of Specialist Radiation Oncologists, provide high-quality medical care to patients undergoing radiotherapy at the Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre, and contribute to the effective operation of the multidisciplinary cancer service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of patients receiving radiation therapy
* Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, case conferences and clinical discussions
* Support radiotherapy treatment planning and delivery processes
* Undertake inpatient and outpatient clinical duties, including participation in on-call rosters as required
* Contribute to teaching, audit, research, and quality improvement activities
* Ensure compliance with clinical governance requirements, professional standards, and workplace policies
* Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, allied health and technical staff

Selection Criteria
Essential
* Medical degree with eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Completion of at least PGY2 (or equivalent)
* Demonstrated interest in oncology and patient-centred care
* High-level communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable
* Previous experience in oncology, radiation oncology, or a related medical specialty
* Experience working in regional or remote healthcare environments

Training and Accreditation
Important Note:
This position is not accredited for specialist training with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR).
Time worked in this role does not count towards the RANZCR Radiation Oncology Training Program.
