**MACA Interquip** are seeking an experienced Lead Designer/Draftperson to join the Engineering Team in Welshpool. We are delivering Engineering, Procurement and Construction execution works for valued clients across WA and Interstate.
Working in conveniently located modern West Perth office, the
**Lead Mechanical Layout Designer** will assume a critical role in our engineering team Overseeing the layout design of mechanical systems and components, leveraging your expertise and leadership skills, you will guide a team of designers, collaborate with multi-discipline teams, and ensure that mechanical layouts meet design requirements and project objectives. This role plays a key part in driving efficiency, innovation, and the successful execution of projects.

**To be successful in this role, you will**:
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop a team of design professionals
- 10+ years experience in mining, mineral processing mechanical plant design.
- Previous experience in 3D modelling and drafting in a relevant CAD package.
- Proficiency in the layout of process plant equipment.
- Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design data.
- Check third-party supplied drawings for correctness.
