About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor for an exciting opportunity in Mackay, with local candidates preferred but open to FIFO arrangements for Queensland-based candidates.


Key Responsibilities:

* Incident Investigations and Management
* Injury Management
* Audits and Inspections
* Training and Coaching
* System Reviews & Data Analysis
* Facilitating HSE Meetings & Managing Risk Management Workshops
* Documentation Preparation
* Maintaining a High Focus on Life-Saving Commitments
* Preparing and Delivering Toolbox and Campaign Material
* Providing Adhoc Coverage Across Sites During Shutdowns and Outages
* Daily/Weekly Site Visits

Job Requirements:

Ensure all HS&E processes comply with KAEFER and client policies, procedures, and project specifications as identified in the contract document and HSE management plan(s).

Participate in periodic reviews of processes and system audits for HS&E to ensure alignment with Client and Corporate goals and targets, plus areas of continuous improvement.

Investigate HS&E near misses and incidents with timely and professional outcomes.

Review incident reporting (including near misses) and provide input for corrective actions and prevention.

About You:

Minimum 5 years proven experience as an Advisor in the Mining, O&G, Construction industries.

Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety – Diploma (essential) | Cert IV in Workplace OHS (preferred).

Ability to travel as required for project needs.

Strong problem-solving skills to address safety issues and recommend practical solutions.

Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies & procedures in line with O&G industry or mining standards.

A proactive and results-oriented mindset committed to promoting a culture of safety within the project.

Highly developed communication skills including influencing and negotiating with stakeholders.

Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Open Work Visa holders with more than 12 months validity from their role start date.
