**The Role**
We are seeking a number of highly motivated individuals to fill APS5 and APS6 roles within the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Branch. These roles directly contribute to successful work health and safety outcomes at the enterprise level for Defence people through strategy, policy, training, governance, project management and coordination. You will develop high level WHS solutions to directly support Defence clients, and assist in continual improvement of our WHS policy, training, tools, quality assurance and customer service.
Your role may involve:
- Working in a high-tempo, dynamic environment;
- Having a considerable level of stakeholder engagement;
- Displaying leadership skills through accountability in setting work priorities and managing workflows;
- Understanding assurance activities and the management of risk within a Work Health and Safety context;
- Supporting the development of briefing materials, committee papers and coordinating workflows;
- Development of strategy and co-design of solutions to support improved health and safety outcomes for Defence.

Previous WHS and Defence experience is highly desirable.
