Job Overview
The Biomedical and Electronics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the performance, upkeep, and repair of biomedical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a team of biomedical technologists by delegating tasks and providing ongoing training on new technologies and best practices.
* Oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of biomedical equipment to minimize downtime and support hospital operations.
* Ensure all equipment meets regulatory standards and safety guidelines, conducting inspections, maintaining documentation, and supporting audits and compliance checks.
* Work with clinicians and healthcare professionals to ensure equipment meets clinical needs and advise on the procurement of new technologies.
* Manage spare parts inventory within budget, ensuring availability of necessary items without overstocking, and recommend cost-effective repair methods.
Requirements
* Australian driver's license, Electrical Safety Testing certification, Diploma/Trade qualification in Electronics, and management experience.
* Knowledge of relevant standards, electronics, IT systems, asset management, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook; strong troubleshooting skills.
* Skilled in asset management systems, equipment maintenance, and resolving technical issues in healthcare settings.
* Proven leadership, team motivation, performance reviews, and resource management to maintain safety and quality.
