Overview
NES Fircroftare looking for a Mechanical Engineer on a FIFO basis to support a Tier 1 mining operator throughplant maintenance, mechanical integrity, and reliability programs. The role ensures equipment performance, safe operation, and operational efficiency across mine and processing assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Support maintenance and operations teams with mechanical solutions.
* Support classified plant enquiries and understanding of pressure equipment
* Involvement in on site maintenance projects involving site visits, management of consultants and technical engineering support to customer base
* Support mechanical principal engineering in maintaining site technical standards and supporting customers to under allrequirements
* Implement and maintain asset management and reliability programs (preventive maintenance, RCA, condition monitoring).
* Perform mechanical design reviews, calculations, and specification checks.
* Assist in capital projects and equipment upgrades.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 6+ years of experience in mining or heavy industry.
* Knowledge of plant equipment, mechanical systems, and reliability engineering.
* Experience with CMMS, maintenance strategies, and mechanical problem-solving.
