Offer Description

* Part-time (0.8 FTE), 2-year fixed-term Research Project Officer opportunity at The Poche Centre for Indigenous Health

* Base Salary $89,755 - $100,495 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

This position is targeted for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, under the provisions of section 126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).' This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful research that advances Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. You will work closely with a dynamic team of researchers and clinicians, supporting projects from administration and planning through to stakeholder engagement and reporting. This role offers a chance to develop your skills in research management, grant coordination, and data oversight while making a tangible impact in a collaborative, supportive, and culturally aware environment.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

* Provide general administrative support for research activities, including organising meetings and coordinating with researchers and clinicians.
* Assist in the preparation of research documentation, reports, and presentations.
* Support submission processes, ensuring compliance with guidelines and university requirements.
* Track and document research finances, preliminary grant applications, and purchasing/payment activities.
* Facilitate communication with stakeholders, address concerns and collaborate with the team to enhance relationships.
* Contribute to quality reporting, data accuracy, compliance initiatives, and workplace health and safety practices.

About you

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with equivalent combination of training and experience.
* Demonstrated interest in health and a passion for contributing to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
* Ability to build effective partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, stakeholders, and leaders.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including high-level writing, editing, and reporting.
* Proven experience in research management, administration, or coordination within health, higher education, or research-intensive environments.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a team of researchers and clinicians.
