We are seeking an experienced Licensed Builder Director / Construction Director to lead the delivery of large-scale residential housing projects, including volume-built homes across multiple sites. This is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end construction performance, compliance, and team leadership, reporting directly to executive leadership.
The role is primarily office-based in North Sydney, with occasional travel to project sites as required. Salary range up to $350K + Super.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee end-to-end construction delivery of large-scale residential volume housing projects (~200 homes).
* Act as the responsible Licensed Builder, ensuring full compliance with NSW building regulations and statutory requirements.
* Provide strategic leadership to Construction Managers, Site Supervisors, and project teams across multiple sites.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality and safety standards.
* Oversee WHS systems, risk management, defect prevention, and compliance across all construction activities.
* Manage construction budgets, cost controls, procurement strategies, and subcontractor performance.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Design, Development, Finance, Sales) to align construction outcomes with business objectives.
* Report on construction performance, risks, and program status to executive leadership and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Current NSW Builder's Licence (or eligibility to act as nominated builder).
* Proven experience in a senior construction leadership role (Construction Director, Building Director, Head of Construction, or similar).
* Strong knowledge of NSW building codes, compliance, and WHS requirements.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
