The Role
You are an experienced SPE, or Jnr PM (10 years) currently managing the services scope and now looking for a step up in responsibility on a significant infrastructure project. Reporting to the Delivery Director, the Area Manager (Services) will manage a team of professionals responsible for providing successful delivery and management for all services which will include subcontractor management.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the planning, coordination, execution, commissioning, and handover of all site services (in-ground & above-ground), including building work.
* Manage systems and processes to ensure all services are installed, commissioned & tested in accordance with all local regulatory requirements in addition to the DT Infrastructure management process.
* Responsible for all third-party (service providers) engagement and management during the delivery of the project.
* Ensure team members understand organisational objectives, and are focused on development/delivery of their own relevant plans.
* Manage and lead personnel; prioritise work efficiently.
* Provide coaching and leadership; and maintain effective communication channels.
* Resource and develop an effective team able to deliver the required services and demand of the project.
About You
* Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification and experience.
* Minimum of 10 Years engineering experience (preferably electrical).
* Relevant project delivery experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction company.
* Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of our policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as relevant legislation.
* Project Management and its application within a construction organisation and understand the importance and requirement to complete projects to time, budget, and quality parameters.
* Leadership skills with customer focused outcomes, driving safety, quality, and sustainability, along with the ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, and a collaborative nature.
