Become a part of an exciting opportunity as Breast Imaging Radiographer - Senior (BreastScreen) with Allied Health Services. In this role you will be required to provide mammography screening and assessment services for the BreastScreen Queensland Cairns Service throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service districts, and various other communities as determined by the BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards.

About your opportunity:
BreastScreen Queensland Cairns Service provides a free population‑based mammography screening service to women over 40 years of age. The catchment area includes Cairns, Innisfail, Tablelands, Cape York, Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula and part of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service covering an area of approximately 380,000 sq kms.
About your role:
* Deliver a high‑level breast imaging clinical service within a multidisciplinary team, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
* Ensure patient care issues are managed, including liaison with other clinicians, clinical departments and external providers and patient related incidents are reported and documented according to hospital procedures.
* Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced breast imaging clinicians including students to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within BreastScreen.
* Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient / client care.
