The opportunity:
Are you passionate about skiing and helping others? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, snowy environment? If so, we are looking for experienced Ski Patrollers to join our Team this winter!
As a member of the ski patrol team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring efficient, professional and safe operation of the ski fields, delivery of first aid and evacuation services and customer service daily.
Our patrollers play a pivotal role managing and risk assessing the ski areas. If the unfortunate does occur and a guest or employee needs medical assistance our ASPA qualified Ski Patrollers will provide the comfort and care required to safely retrieve, provide first aid, and evacuate if necessary.

* Ski Patroller/ Groomers

Key responsibilities include:
* Incident Response and First Aid - Respond to incidents, including providing first aid, dealing with skier collisions, and transporting guests to the medical centre, their accommodation, or the bottom of a lift.
* Resort and Trail Operations - Assist with the opening and closing of the resort or trails as appropriate to the conditions.
* Boundary Marking and Maintenance - Deploy and maintain ski area boundary marking.
* Dispatch Operations - Undertake dispatch operator duties when requested, to ensure a coordinated deployment of team members around the mountain.
* Risk Management and incident investigation – Conduct incident investigations, including taking photos, interviewing witnesses and completing accurate report documentation
* Grooming only – support Resort Operations Ream to provide safe and accessible snow play areas and ensure safe access to roads and trails through grooming
What amazing skills and experience will score you this role?
* Experienced Ski Patrol and grooming
* ASPA Advanced Emergency Care first aid qualification
* Advanced ski or snowboard ability
* Extensive practical first aid experience
* Use of ropes for climbing or rescue (desirable)
* Knowledge of Mt Stirling, community, attractions and services
* Available to work weekends and school holidays
* Available from June to 30 September (or the declared snow season)
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Have full Australian working rights. International applicants are required to obtain their own visa with valid Australian work rights
* Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type
* Have an Australian drivers licence (Victorian licence preferred)
* Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
