Team and Directorate
This role sits within the Corporate Strategy and Performance Directorate, part of the Advisory Services Business Unit. You will join a small enthusiastic team working in partnership with business areas to drive solutions and initiatives that ensure DTF operates efficiently, sustainably and achieves its objectives.
Responsibilities
* Preparation of financial information to facilitate and discharge statutory reporting obligations including Budget Papers and Financial Statements.
* Provision of advice on the effectiveness of financial, budget management and financial controls in meeting the requirements of the agency.
* Provision of guidance on financial and governance risks to the agency's current and projected services.
* Provision of oversight, advice and support of the DTF's procurement function.
* Facilitate timely payment and receipting of funds, ensuring all transactions adhere to the relevant sections of the Financial Management Act 2006 and the Treasurer's Instructions.
* Ensure financial administrative information, reconciliations and record management systems are kept up to date.
* Provide support to the Chief Finance Officer and the management team, applying attention to detail and problem‑solving techniques, to help facilitate the provision of quality financial information.
