The Opportunity
As the MQ-28 program continues to grow at a rapid pace, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking experienced DevSecOps engineers to join the MQ-28 Digital Model Ecosystem Team. Your role will be pivotal in building, deploying, and maintaining a reliable and highly automated software development and deployment pipeline. This will ensure we can continue to maintain our agile approach and deliver world‐leading capability to our Customer.
Responsibilities
* Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with software developers and system operators to manage code releases.
o Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across development and operations teams.
* Automation and Tooling:
o Proven experience planning and implementing secure Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
o Optimize resource allocation and manage build pipeline services to support development and production environments.
* Monitoring and Performance:
o Implement monitoring solutions to ensure system performance and reliability.
o Analyze system performance metrics and troubleshoot issues to enhance application performance.
* Demonstrated ability to produce and maintain clear and concise documentation (e.g. 'as built', configuration, system change and process documents).
Qualifications
* Demonstrated proficiency with the following tools:
o Installation, configuration, maintenance and optimization of Containerized Software (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Podman).
o CI/CD development, implementation and automation (e.g., Bitbucket, Bamboo, Artifactory, & Gitlab).
o Developer VMs – configuration oversight of Windows, Ubuntu, and Redhat Operating Systems.
o Configuration management – implementation and maintenance of Ansible playbooks.
* Familiarity with Security and Compliance requirements.
* Systematic and logical problem‐solving skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus).
* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
* Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (highly regarded).
* NV1 security clearance required.
