The Opportunity
An opportunity has become available for a Business Development Manager to lead commercial growth across Southern Western Australia.
This role manages a defined industrial territory covering:
* Kwinana industrial strip
* Peel region
* South West WA
* Great Southern WA
The position focuses on working with large industrial operators whose facilities rely heavily on centrifugal pump systems for critical plant operations.
You will build relationships with:
* Maintenance teams
* Reliability engineers
* Plant managers
* Procurement teams
Through these relationships you will identify opportunities to:
* Supply new pump systems
* Replace competitor equipment
* Expand lifecycle service and maintenance support
The territory includes both established industrial customers and significant growth opportunities. The focus will be on strengthening existing accounts while identifying new facilities that require engineered pumping solutions.
This is an autonomous territory role suited to someone comfortable managing long sales cycles, complex industrial environments and high-value equipment opportunities.
Purpose of the Role The purpose of this position is to grow the organisation's pump business across Southern Western Australia by developing long-term industrial customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities.
Key objectives
* Expanding pump system sales within existing industrial accounts
* Identifying sites operating competitor pump equipment and converting them to new solutions
* Growing market presence across mining, mineral processing, chemical and industrial manufacturing sectors
* Supporting customers with equipment upgrades, replacements and lifecycle pump solutions
* Building a strong pipeline of industrial sales opportunities across the region
About You
To be successful in this role you will bring experience selling industrial pump systems, fluid handling equipment or rotating machinery into heavy industry environments. You understand how pump systems operate within processing plants, mining operations and large industrial facilities, and you are comfortable engaging with technical and operational stakeholders.
Your background may include experience with:
* Industrial pump manufacturers
* Fluid handling equipment suppliers
* Rotating equipment companies
* Industrial equipment distributors specialising in pump systems
You will also bring:
* Strong business development and account management capability
* Confidence working within complex industrial environments
* Experience managing long sales cycles and high-value capital equipment opportunities
