Quality Manager
About Our Client
Our client is an Australian technology leader that designs, manufactures and installs advanced electronic measurement devices used across sewer networks, rail infrastructure and other critical assets. Their products provide reliable field data in some of the toughest environments, supporting smarter decision making for utilities, councils and major infrastructure operators. As they continue to scale both locally and internationally, quality and reliability remain at the core of their operations.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and confident Quality Manager to take ownership of the end‑to‑end quality function. This is a hands‑on role where you will work across all levels of the business, from detailed technical work through to contributing at board level. With devices installed in complex, hard‑to‑access environments, quality issues can result in major labour costs and operational disruptions. They need someone who is driven, firm in their approach and passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and identify gaps in the current quality systems using your industry experience.
* Develop the design of the Quality Management System and establish the framework for quality across the business.
* Implement quality protocols, procedures and documentation to lift capability across all departments.
* Coordinate quality activities between R&D, manufacturing, warehousing and supply chain.
* Take ownership for quality outcomes across all product components – plastics, metals, electronics, seals etc.
* Drive a culture of accountability, ensuring that quality standards are upheld and issues are addressed early and effectively.
* Support long term growth plans, growing the role into a global quality manager position.
About You
* 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in quality roles within manufacturing, engineering or product‑based environments.
* Background in both hardware and assembly quality, ideally with exposure to sensors or embedded technology.
* Strong character with the ability to push back, influence and uphold standards.
* Hands on and comfortable working across all levels of the organisation.
* Proven experience establishing or improving ISO9001 systems, including documentation, audits and continuous improvement.
* Understanding of supply chain quality and vendor management for critical components.
