About the role
Mallard Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team in Newman, Western Australia. As a casual Project Manager, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of our construction projects, overseeing all aspects of project management from start to finish.
What you'll be doing
* Developing and implementing detailed project plans to ensure timely completion of construction projects
* Coordinating and managing project teams, including subcontractors, to optimise productivity and efficiency
* Monitoring project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed
* Preparing and presenting progress reports to key stakeholders, including clients and senior management
* Ensuring all projects comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Collaborating with the estimating team to provide input on project costs and budgets
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance project delivery
* Actively implementing the company's commercial policies and processes within the context of our Client contracts to allow respectful, timely and effective commercial management of the contract – progress claim preparation and submission; variation claim identification, compilation and submission; and ongoing cost to complete forecasting.
* Lead, manage and communicate effectively with your site teams to ensure ongoing time and budget goals are continually achieved through the understanding, development and implementation of the previous project management strategies
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry
* Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Proficient in the use of project management software and tools
* Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* Knowledge, experience and previous exposure to the commercial aspects of successful project management.
