Garden Maintenance Volunteer
The Forage Community Garden requires volunteers to assist with planting, weeding, watering and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with gardening duties including planting, weeding and pruning
* Water the garden during warmer months ensuring optimal growth and health
* Maintain the garden's appearance through regular upkeep
This is a regular commitment for less than 6 months. Flexibility in time is required as well as a passion for environment and conservation. On-site training will be provided for successful applicants.
Skills Required:
* Gardening knowledge and experience
* Physical ability to perform outdoor tasks
* Flexibility and reliability
Benefits:
Volunteers will have the opportunity to work outdoors, contribute to a community project and develop their gardening skills. Regular meet-ups will take place on Sundays at the Cannery Arts Centre where volunteers can work together, harvest produce and socialize.
