This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as a Mechanical Engineer.
You will play a key role in supporting the Maintenance team and delivering high-quality solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
* Auditing, monitoring, and improving site practices and standards for compliance with legislation, Australian Standards, Mine Design Guidelines, industry mandates, and recommendations.
* Mobilizing new and used assets to site, including inspections, planning defect repairs, critical inspection report reviews, and coordinating asset requests.
* Facilitating risk assessments, implementing change management practices, planning statutory and critical asset inspections, drafting initiatives, upgrades, and improvements to maintenance equipment/process requirements for certification and fabrication.
* Developing, reviewing, and coordinating mechanical improvements on downtime/reliability issues, developing outcome-driven cost-effective solutions to technical and process efficiency-based problems, supporting maintenance facilities/infrastructure projects, incident investigations, and reporting.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Open cut experience supervising mechanical personnel.
* Asset management/maintenance experience highly regarded.
* Document control systems development or management skills highly regarded.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and Autodesk Inventor (CAD software) skills highly regarded.
* A positive attitude and drive to learn.
* Understanding of safe work practices.
* Outcome-driven cost-effective solutions understanding.
* Australian Standards understanding.
* Strong report writing & auditing skills.
