About Our Client:
Our client is a Western Australian government organisation responsible for supporting and developing the state's primary industries and regional communities. They play a key role in driving economic growth, sustainability, and innovation across sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, and regional development.
What You Will Be Doing:
In this role, you will carry out field-based surveillance and monitoring activities across aquatic and coastal environments, including water sampling, environmental data collection, and accurate reporting of findings. You will work both independently and within a team to support environmental and biosecurity objectives, while operating safely in outdoor conditions and following established procedures.
What You Will Need:
Current Driver's Licence (mandatory)
Ability to pass a basic medical clearance (LABDAS)
Full working rights in Australia
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Commitment to following safety, environmental, and biosecurity procedures
Experience or interest in aquaculture, marine science, or environmental field work (highly regarded but NOT essential)
Competitive hourly rate
Valuable experience with a government department in environmental surveillance
