JML PLUMBING & GAS PTY LTD (ABN 64 616 464 398) is looking for a full time Mechanical Engineer (with experience in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) for their thriving business. This position is located at their site in Queanbeyan West NSW, however the company also services the Canberra region.
JML Plumbing & Gas, is a well-regarded plumbing and gas service provider serving both residential and commercial clients in Queanbeyan, surrounding NSW, and the ACT. They offer 24/7 emergency call-outs and a wide range of services including leak detection, hot water system installation and repairs, gas appliance installation, pipe relining, and burst pipe repairs. The company offers a comprehensive range of heating and cooling services for both residential and commercial customers. Their HVAC work includes repairs, maintenance, replacements, and custom solutions for systems such as evaporative coolers, gas heaters, and reverse cycle air-conditioning units up to about 20 kW in capacity. The team is skilled at diagnosing issues, providing efficient repairs, and guiding clients toward energy-efficient or more suitable equipment when upgrades are needed. With a strong focus on professionalism, reliability, and tailored solutions, they have built a reputation for delivering quality workmanship and dependable HVAC services. The team is licensed in both NSW and the ACT, with a strong emphasis on professionalism, reliability, and keeping projects on time and within budget.
To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position.
TASKS & DUTIES:
- Designs mechanical equipment, machines, tools and components for agricultural, mining, construction, manufacturing and other industrial purposes
- Plans and designs the layout, flow and processes of mechanical and process plants
- Oversees the assembly, erection and commissioning of mechanical and process plant and installations
- Studies and analyses mechanical systems and components to evaluate their performance
- Inspects, maintains and tests mechanical equipment, and investigates mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance issues
- Plans and produces quotes for customers
- Customer site inspections
- Planning and designing custom heating and cooling solutions.
