You will play a critical role in conducting pre-start meetings, coordinating safety initiatives, carrying out site inspections and walks, and supporting Project Managers with practical and compliant safety leadership. Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily and weekly pre-start meetings across active sites
Coordinate and lead safety events, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns
Perform regular site walks and formal safety inspections
Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventative actions
Support Project Managers with SWMS reviews, risk assessments, and compliance requirements
Ensure adherence to WHS legislation, codes of practice, and company policies
Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
Assist with incident investigations and corrective action tracking
Monitor subcontractor and worker compliance with site safety standards
About You
Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
Experience in construction or scaffolding environment preferred
Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation
Confident conducting site inspections and engaging with site teams
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Proactive, organised and solutions‐focused
Ability to build positive working relationships with site teams and management
Field Presence – Confident onsite, able to engage crews and lead safety discussions.
Attention to Detail – Strong inspection, documentation and compliance capability.
Safety Leadership – Drives accountability and promotes a proactive safety culture.
