This position involves maintaining a campus safe, clean, and well-maintained throughout the year. You'll perform indoor and outdoor tasks including mowing, snow removal, basic repairs, vehicle maintenance, and responding to work requests.
A positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn are essential for this role.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintenance of the campus grounds includes mowing, trimming, edging, snow shoveling, salting walkways, and tree/bush trimming.
* Performing basic building maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall patching, plumbing repairs, and flooring.
* Supervising youth workers in the summer by teaching them basic maintenance tasks safely and respectfully.
* Inspecting and maintaining agency vehicles (oil changes, fluid checks, tire pressure) and reporting larger repair needs.
* Assisting with moving furniture, setting up for events, or supporting maintenance at other sites as needed.
* Participating in safety inspections and fixing any issues found.
* Maintaining logs and records for work completed, supplies ordered, and vehicle maintenance.
* Being available for on-call assignments and responding to after-hours maintenance emergencies as needed.
