Job Description:
The Assistant Sous Chef will play a pivotal role in supporting the leadership team to drive quality and consistency across the kitchen. This includes mentoring junior chefs, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Chef de Cuisine in developing menus that showcase local ingredients
* Monitor stock levels to optimize food production and minimize waste
* Collaborate with the leadership team to manage team members and maintain a positive work environment
* Ensure the quality and consistency of all food leaving the kitchen
Requirements:
* Chef experience in a 5-star environment or busy restaurant
* Proven track record of driving quality and consistency, with a passion for diverse cuisine and continuous learning
* Previous experience with quality control and preservation techniques
* Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
