At Bed Bath N' Table, we create homes people love — and that starts with supporting our people. We are looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to join our People Team, supporting payroll across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
This opportunity suits an experienced Senior Payroll Officer, or a strong payroll professional who is ready to step up and take on broader responsibility in a complex, evolving environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will support the end-to-end payroll function across multiple pay groups. Our current payroll environment includes a high level of manual processing, and we are actively progressing through a digital transformation journey. This role offers genuine exposure to systems uplift, process improvement and payroll optimisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* End-to-end payroll processing across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore
* Preparation and approval of timesheets and time & attendance records
* Interpretation and application of awards, agreements and payroll legislation
* Processing leave, allowances, deductions, backpay and termination payments
* Resolution of payroll queries, including more complex matters
* End of Pay and End of Month reporting and reconciliations
* Employee onboarding, master file maintenance and lifecycle changes
* Supporting payroll process improvement and system enhancements
ABOUT YOU
You are a detail-driven payroll professional who values accuracy, accountability and teamwork.
You will bring:
* Solid experience in payroll, ideally in a multi-award environment
* Retail payroll experience highly regarded
* Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and industrial instruments
* Confidence working in manual or evolving payroll environments
* Experience using payroll and HR systems (ADP Payforce and/or UKG HRIS looked on favourably)
* Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
* A proactive, adaptable mindset and willingness to learn
