The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising Corrections Victoria (CV), Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.
About the role
The Remand Coordinator is responsible for assessing prisoners' transitional needs, referring to pre and post release support programs and services, and assisting in prisoner discharge planning. They also undertake prisoner risk and need assessments. The position will liaise with Community Correctional Services in relation to parole planning, transition to Community Correctional Orders and the facilitation and sharing of
Some of your duties will include:
* Participate in the development, coordination and delivery of prisoner risk assessment and pre-release services within a prison location.
* Undertake prisoner risk assessments and needs assessments and contribute to the Case Management Review process.
* Support the delivery of the CV Reintegration Program at the prison location.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Demonstrated understanding of the specific transition and reintegration issues and needs of women in custody.
* Demonstrated ability to administer risk assessment tools with individual prisoners.
* Demonstrated capacity or aptitude to work with clients who are difficult to engage individually and in group work settings.
* Capacity to work collaboratively with all stakeholders in a prison setting.
