Introduction:
We are currently recruiting a temporary Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month contractual basis for a leading global commercial organisation. The company is a prominent industry player experiencing significant growth by offering world-class services to its customers. The environment is fast-paced, driven, and collaborative, within the finance division where colleagues are engaged, friendly, and value innovative ideas.
You will report to the Financial Controller.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate closely with the Distribution Centre management, providing clear and insightful financial perspectives on productivity and projects.
* Contribute to month-end management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and trend analysis, focusing on warehouse and transport.
* Partner with divisional finance and supply chain teams to foster a data-driven culture and ensure understanding of the financial implications of key decisions.
* Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
* Conduct regular financial analysis and generate reports highlighting key financial indicators and trends.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Work with other departments to ensure proper financial controls and procedures are followed.
* Stay updated with accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance and educate operational stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Assistant Management Accountant for over 2-3 years.
* Proficiency in SAP (desirable) and strong financial principles.
* Exceptional networking skills with the ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
* Studying towards CA/CPA.
