Disassemble and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other vehicle parts for inspection. Repair or replace worn and defective components, following technical manuals as needed during reassembly. Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to enhance vehicle performance and meet environmental standards.
Reassemble engines and related parts after completing repairs. Test and fine-tune mechanical systems post-repair to ensure optimal performance. Inspect vehicles and, where authorised, issue roadworthy certificates or outline required repairs to meet roadworthiness standards.
Use computerised diagnostic tools to assess the condition and functionality of vehicle systems. Assisting with ordering spare parts according to work required Follow Safety procedures at all times Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle conditions and future repair requirements Qualification & experience Relevant or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology. Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
