What's the role?
As a Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring, you'll play a key part in helping our Technology teams deliver with confidence. You'll partner with Infrastructure, Service Management and Architecture teams to identify, assess and manage risks across both day‐to‐day operations and change initiatives and influence the right risk outcomes for our customers. You'll bring risk to life in a practical way, translating policy and control requirements into pragmatic advice that helps teams move faster while staying safe. Alongside this, you'll support risk governance activities, contribute to our risk culture, and help drive continuous improvement through automation and smarter ways of working.
Location & Working Model
This permanent, full‐time role is based in Sydney, Warrane, Gadigal Country, with a hybrid working model that supports flexibility and balance.
Requirements
* Curious and inquisitive, with a deep understanding of Technology objectives, related risks and compliance requirements.
* Ability to connect technology risk to business outcomes and provide pragmatic and relevant advice.
* Working knowledge of technology risk and compliance frameworks, including regulatory requirements.
* Change mindset, able to pivot and adapt confidently to respond to change and deliver faster and safer for our customers.
* Confidence providing risk advice and influencing stakeholders across both run and change.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide relevant and concise actionable insights.
* Curiosity and openness to using AI and automation to improve risk management.
* Experience with Agile and Lean concepts and reporting tools such as PowerApps or PowerBI (preferred).
