The Team

Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is Tasmania’s largest hospital, as the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The Role

The AIN works under the direction and supervision of an RN or Midwife and may be supported and supervised by an EN. They are responsible for ensuring the delegated activity is within the educational capability, and competence of their individual scope of practice, and are accountable for the care they deliver as delegated by the RN or Midwife.

You will need
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills in patient/client care, with an ability to assist patients/clients to meet their personal care needs and perform activities of daily living as required.
* Ability to work as an effective team member in the professional health care team environment.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal and numeracy skills.

Details of appointment

Fixed Term, full time/part time, shift worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, for a period up to eighteen (18) months.

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately two (2) years.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $66,935 to $73,138 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria

* Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care); or
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Specialisation)

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

* Current First Aid Certificate
