Overview
Livestock SA is looking for a new Member & Communications Manager to deliver strategic communications, member engagement activities and management of the CRM database.
This role plays a key part in maintaining the organisation's visibility, supporting advocacy priorities and ensuring high-quality service and information to members.
This parental leave position is offered as a full-time, one-year contract.
Role & Responsibilities
Deliver Livestock SA's communications strategy across digital, print and media channels
Develop and write media releases, newsletters and other communications to engage stakeholders and promote key messages
Manage social media accounts and maintain the organisation's website
Coordinate media opportunities and manage event communications
Adhere to the organisation's style guide when producing branded collateral
Monitor relevant news and policy developments that may impact members
Prepare communication reports and analytics for the Board and CEO
Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to identify and create meaningful content
Manage membership enquiries and support producers with information and services
Manage and maintain the CRM membership database
Support recruitment and retention of members through tailored communications
Manage and distribute membership materials and surveys
Represent the organisation professionally in dealings with members, media, and stakeholders
Participate in team meetings, strategic planning, and industry events as required
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated professional experience and qualifications in communications, media, or marketing
Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy in writing, editing and formatting content
High-level proficiency with website CMSs, social media platforms, and CRM systems
Ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks under minimal supervision
Knowledge of agriculture and rural issues (livestock industry preferred)
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, professional relationships with members, media and partners
Experience in writing media releases, newsletters and social media posts
Drivers licence
