Child Adolescent Mental Health Specialist
This role is part of the Safeguards Team, a dedicated CAMHS resource designed to provide rapid response to resolve mental health crises across community and inpatient settings.
The successful candidate will work within the Safeguards CAMHS Response Team and report to the FWLHD – Safeguards Team Clinical Leader with professional responsibility to the FWLHD – CAMHS District Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Apply in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge to plan, coordinate, and implement evidence-based, trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate assessment and treatment to children and adolescents (0 to 17 years) in acute mental health distress.
* Work collaboratively as part of the Safeguards Team to provide comprehensive support services to children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges.
Requirements
* Extensive experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing situations.
