About the role
Johnston Withers Lawyers has a rare opportunity for a motivated lawyer to join our Commercial Team based in our modern office in Adelaide.
All levels of experience including Senior Practitioners will be considered, salary negotiable based on experience. The position will be tailored to suit the successful candidate's strengths and interests, offering broad exposure to our diverse client base within our Commercial and Property Team.
What you'll be doing
* Advise clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including contract drafting and review, business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and property transactions
* Prepare and negotiate commercial agreements, business sale agreements, leases, and other legal documents
* Drafting land contract special conditions, off-the-plan contracts, preparing paper lodgement documents
* Collaborate with the wider legal team to ensure the highest standards of client service
What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience in corporate and commercial law
* Strong IT, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain language
* Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* A proactive, client-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Current admission to practice law in South Australia is required
* Minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience is required
