Kim barne thaliyu meaning here yesterday in the language of the Wadawurrung people is Victoria's largest regional archive and heritage resource centre. As a recognised Public Record Office Victoria Class A Place of Deposit we safeguard and provide access to permanent public records from newspapers and maps to photographs manuscripts and more.
We're looking for a motivated team member to help our community connect with history while safeguarding the collection.
What you'll do
Assist visitors and researchers to access and understand the collection.
Support archival work including cataloguing, digitising and preserving items.
Respond to research enquiries online and in person.
Deliver friendly, professional customer service every day.
About you
Strong customer service skills and a people-first approach.
Comfortable with digital systems, databases and technology.
Great attention to detail and care when working with heritage materials.
Enthusiasm for history and community connection.
Victorian Certificate of Education (or equivalent).

The successful candidate must provide prior to commencement:
An Employee Victorian Working with Children Check and national police check no older than six months.
Evidence of mandatory qualifications and registrations.
