About our Rail Safety Culture
We are seeking an individual to join our team in QLD, assisting in managing business environment, health, and rail safety risks. The successful candidate will foster a high-performance rail safety culture.
The role involves:
* Deploying and maintaining procedures and tools in line with Transport and EHS Management System
* Ensuring risk assessments are undertaken and defining appropriate measures to control risks
* Maintaining records and documentation of the site while monitoring compliance
* Implementing and delivering training plans and programs
* Ensuring the Safety Management System is well maintained and in line with required standards
* Reviewing and testing emergency plans and delivering Safety induction training
* Preventing accidents/incidents and reporting thoroughly if they occur
* Assisting in the maintenance of an annual EHS and Rail Safety audit program
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate IV or Diploma in health and safety coupled with an environmental management qualification
* Proven experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring risk management tools
* Rail or heavy industry project experience in field-based roles implementing safety management systems
* Sound knowledge of local legal requirements
* Initiative, drive, and resilience to influence people at all levels within the operations
* Strong knowledge of safe working systems, rules, and procedures
* A valid Rail Industry Worker Card
