This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires an individual with exceptional teaching, leadership and communication skills to lead the development and implementation of high-quality maths and numeracy programs across the school.

Key Responsibilities
">
* Lead and model evidence-informed teaching practice in years 7-12 maths and numeracy, supporting staff to embed instructional models and playbooks across all classrooms.
* Initiate and lead moderation of student work to improve teacher knowledge of curriculum content, assessment and feedback, and ensure consistency of teacher judgements.
* Deliver professional learning, including coaching and mentoring, aligned to school improvement goals, focusing on literacy pedagogy, curriculum design, feedback and assessment.
* Develop and lead the implementation of an agreed evidence-based framework for numeracy knowledge and skill development across the school.
* Collaborate with teachers to develop and evaluate high-quality formative and summative assessments and feedback practices.
* Lead the cyclical review and refinement of maths curriculum and assessment programs, ensuring alignment with the Victorian Curriculum, VCE requirements, and school-based learning goals.
* Ensure effective sequencing of content knowledge and skills across year levels, supporting vertical alignment and coherent pathways for student progression.

The successful applicant will be highly skilled in teaching and leading, with a strong focus on developing the skills and knowledge of staff. They will have experience in leading curriculum development, assessment and reporting, and have a proven track record of improving student outcomes.

Requirements

* Registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
* Qualifications in maths and/or education.
* Experience in leading curriculum development, assessment and reporting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire staff and students.
