We're looking for a commercially minded, people-focused leader to step into the role of Service Manager - someone who can elevate customer experience, drive operational performance and lead a highly skilled team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Business Development Manager - Engineering, Power & Energy, you'll lead service operations across safety, financial performance, customer engagement and team development.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading day-to-day service operations, ensuring safe work practices, quality repairs and timely job completion
* Driving a strong HSE culture, including hazard reporting, compliance and toolbox meetings
* Overseeing work order accuracy, invoicing, labour charges, overtime and departmental expenses in line with budget
* Building strong customer relationships through proactive communication, site visits and key account engagement
* Ensuring the team is well resourced through workforce planning, training and technical support
About You
You're an experienced service leader with strong commercial acumen, a focus on people and a drive to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
To be successful, you will have:
* A trade qualification in a mechanical discipline (Diesel Technician, Fitter & Turner or similar)
* Leadership experience in a Service Manager, Workshop Manager or similar role within heavy equipment or related industries
* Strong financial and operational capability, including budgeting and WIP control
* A commitment to safety, professionalism and high technical standards
* Solid systems experience, and intermediate or advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
