Overview
Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking a motivated, reliable, and eager-to-learn trainee to join our Communities team. This is a full-time, maximum term (12 months) position that provides paid work while working towards a Certificate III in Business.
Responsibilities
As a trainee, you'll undertake a range of operational and administrative functions across Council, developing practical, hands-on experience while completing your formal training.
To Be Considered For This Opportunity, You Will Need
A willingness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Teamwork skills and the capacity to contribute in an office-based environment
Basic computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
The ability to complete a Nationally Recognised Qualification (Certificate III in Business) within 12 months
Commitment to undertaking the requirements of the associated qualification

To Be Eligible For This Traineeship
Be at least 17 years of age
Meet citizen, residency, and visa requirements to undertake a traineeship
Not hold a qualification equal to or higher than the traineeship qualification in the same field
Some Council Apprentice and Trainee Positions are funded through government initiatives and are subject to additional eligibility requirements.
