Mental Health Support Worker Role
This role is focused on providing non-clinical, practical support to mental health consumers.
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will help clients achieve their recovery goals and contribute to their wellness and rehabilitation through daily tasks that make a tangible difference.
* Provide psychosocial support across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings.
* Assist consumers with practical tasks to achieve their care plan goals.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support the recovery process.
* Help educate and empower consumers about their recovery journey.
* Report and liaise effectively with various service providers.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience in working with mental health or health-related issues.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience with Aboriginal consumers and community-based services.
A Certificate III or above in Mental Health Work (Non-Clinical), or willingness to study further and or experience in group work, health education, or community development is desirable but not essential.
