Comprehensive Cancer Nursing Role
This challenging and rewarding role is designed for experienced registered nurses who wish to transition into a specialist cancer nurse position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year post-graduate nursing experience and a strong desire to further their education in cancer nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Nursing Assessments: Conduct thorough and accurate assessments of patients to identify their individual needs and develop effective care plans.
* Discharge Planning: Identify and implement discharge-planning requirements to ensure seamless transitions for patients.
* Care Planning: Work collaboratively with patients and the multidisciplinary team to plan appropriate care that meets their unique needs.
* Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities to drive excellence in patient care and service delivery.
Requirements:
* A current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
* A minimum of one year post-graduate nursing experience.
* A demonstrated desire to further education in cancer nursing.
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
* Able to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills.
